The design for Bezalel’s 2025 graduation ceremony is inspired by the International Maritime Signal Flags system – a historic visual language used for communication between ships and between ships and shore. This system, composed of colorful, modular, and dynamic flags, transforms here into a visual identity symbolizing the departure toward new horizons. Just as a ship leaves the harbor and sets out on its own voyage, Bezalel’s graduates embark on their independent journeys toward personal and professional horizons. The project’s graphic language draws on the inherent logic of the flags – their compositions, colors, geometric relationships, and movement – to convey the spirit of navigation, curiosity, and independence that defines Bezalel’s new generation of creators.
