Atlas, the defence system tech academy. is the first civilian institution to take charge of the tech training and education of officers and career soldiers in the Israeli defence system. It is a unique academic structure where officers and career soldiers can attend courses and trainings by that were tailor made for their needs by top schools and universities.
We named the academy Atlas, both after the mythological figure, and after the scientific instrument, but also as an acronym of “national synergetic tech academy” in Hebrew. The brand’s messaging (and the visual identity followed) was all about “opening”; Opening new horizons, Opening new worlds, Opening the future.
The visual identity was derived from the logo we have designed, which was inspired by brackets. The logo’s strong symbol is on the seam between powerful defence visuals and the slick world of tech and innovation. Building the visual language on the basis of the typographic logics of brackets creates an easy comprehensible, user friendly, and yet dynamic system.
